Careers events

Careers events

At Royal Holloway, we offer a wide range of opportunities for employers to engage with our students on campus in addition to our popular careers fairs.

Employer drop-ins

Employer drop-ins offer employers and alumni the opportunity to host a pop-up stand in the busiest area on campus, meeting students informally and raising awareness of their offering. These drop-ins allow students to drop by and ask questions about the roles on offer, the application process and how to stand out and are a great way to promote opportunities and attract talent.

Themed careers talks

It can be really beneficial for an employer to provide students with specific information on their graduate schemes or internships, or talk them through the application process. Themed careers talks can be scheduled as a stand-alone event, or linked to an employer drop-in.

Skills support

We regularly invite employers to participate in our skills programme, supporting in areas such as personal branding, interview practice, CV reviews or sector guidance. This type of workshop is ideal for both well-known and smaller or specialist employers as the focus is very much on the skill being acquired, and can be aligned to a particular sector.

Sector-themed panel events

Employers and alumni offer real-world insights for students which are highly valued, as well as guidance and mentoring towards their career of choice. We regularly hold sector-themed panels, enabling students to explore a range of options and discover possible career paths.

LinkedIn days

Our LinkedIn days are held three times a year and provide a free photo booth for students to obtain a professional profile photo. We also invite employers to come along and provide one-to-one feedback to students on their profiles, from the point of view of a recruiter or expert in a particular industry. These days are incredibly popular with students and employers alike.

Blogs and online campaigns

We run online campaigns and often ask employers and alumni to contribute content to these, such as short videos, job profiles or top tips for success. We also have an active blog page and welcome contributions and helpful updates.

Targeted email service

We offer a targeted email service to employers wishing to promote their opportunities to students. Please enquire at the email below for further details.
