We offer you the opportunity to take a paid industrial placement (internship) as part of your Master’s degree programme.
If you are an international student, you will not require a work visa because the placement is part of your studies.
Although the responsibility for finding a placement is ultimately yours, our Careers Team will help you identify suitable opportunities, make applications and prepare for interviews. Please note that progression to the placement is conditional on good academic performance.
Companies use this scheme as an opportunity to recruit highly motivated and highly qualified members for their teams as well as determine whether you would make a suitable long-term hire. So far, the large majority of international students who have secured a placement have been sponsored to remain working in the UK.
Students have been placed at Autilla, Axonix, BGL Group, Cartesian, Centrica, Choosic, Data Reply, D4t4 Solutions, Disney, Foward3D, Gamesys, HACT, IMS Health, I. S. Solutions, Jacobs, Jaguar Land Rover, Lindgreen Labs, Microlise, Neural Technologies, Office for National Statistics (ONS), QuintilesIMS, Rolls Royce, Shell, Société Générale, Standard Chartered, Statiq, Thomas Cook, Triometric, UBS, VMWare, World Remit, and the Z/Yen Group. Many of these companies have renewed placements from one year to the next.
