In addition to our performance spaces, the department also has several rehearsal studios and rooms. These spaces can be booked by students for unsupervised sessions and rehearsals. Classes are also taught in these spaces.
Rehearsal Studio 1
This rehearsal studio has recently been refurbished with an industry-standard sound system and a gorgeous Harlequin sprung dance floor, allowing a huge and flexible space solely for the use of our dance-related modules. So take off your shoes! Located on top of the Workshop, this space is designed to map the area of the Caryl Churchill Theatre stage.
Rehearsal Studio 2
Constructed to map the area of the Caryl Churchill Theatre stage, Rehearsal Studio 2 also has audiovisual equipment for lectures and seminars. Floor-to-ceiling windows naturally light the space, revealing stunning views of the departments surroundings.

Rehearsal Room A
Rehearsal Room A is a light and versatile teaching space that overlooks the leafy grounds. This rehearsal room is equipped with audiovisual equipment for lectures, seminars and presentations as is standard in the department.
Rehearsal Room B
Rehearsal Room B is a large teaching space adjacent to the glass-walled foyer. With a functioning bar, this rehearsal room doubles up as the box office for evening performances.
Rehearsal Room C
Rehearsal Room C was recently refurbished with a new multi-purpose Harlequin dance floor making the room a fantastic practical seminar space for our physical theatre and movement-based courses.
