Through our connections with our Industrial Advisory Board and location in the south east regional hub of electronics businesses we facilitate links with the leading UK-based electronic companies who can offer potential placements and graduate employment. Our Industrial Advisory Board includes Fujitsu, Rolls Royce and Sony among others, and keeps our degrees industry-relevant.

Accreditation
IET Accredited degrees
As a young department, we are delighted that our Electronic Engineering BEng and MEng degrees (with and without a year in industry) have received full accreditation by The Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) until 2026. IET accreditation involves a thorough assessment of our laboratory facilities, industrial influence, teaching curriculum and learning outcomes against internationally defined standards of quality and academic rigour.
Accredited status means that graduates of Royal Holloway’s BEng and MEng (Hons) Electronic Engineering degrees fulfil the educational requirements for registering as a Chartered Engineer (CEng) following a few years of employment. It's reassuring to know that our degrees meet the highest standard and are acknowledged as being appropriate for the training of tomorrow’s chartered engineers; something we are very proud of and firmly believe in.
UKESF
Royal Holloway has joined 22 other leading academic institutions nationwide to partner with the UK Electronics Skills Foundation (UKESF). This means that our students can benefit from the UKESF scholarship scheme and internship programme, which connects the most capable Electronics undergraduates with leading companies in the sector.
