We plan our dissertations, chapters and books with care; with outlines, chapter plans and research goals. But what happens when the best-laid plans go awry? How do we write when encountering the unplanned, surprising or galling in the material with which we work? How did the C19th novelist or poet do so?
The keynote speakers will include Professor Matthew Beaumont (UCL), Dr Helen Kingstone (University of Surrey) and Dr Nicola Kirkby (Leverhulme Early Research Fellow, RHUL). Round table discussions will involve Dr Sophie Gilmartin (Director, Centre for Victorian Studies, RHUL), Dr Vicky Greenaway (Head of English, RHUL), and Professor Ruth Livesey (RHUL).
A finalised programme will be confirmed and uploaded here soon.
