The Health and Social Care research cluster comprises researchers from law, social work, criminology, sociology, forensic psychology, health studies and psychology. The conference, held on 12 June, saw speakers address a broad range of topics in considering the role and impact of ethics and rights in health and social care from a range of disciplinary perspectives.
The ‘Ethics and Rights in Health and Social Care’ conference, hosted by the Department of Law and Criminology’s Health and Social Care research cluster, took place on 12 June in Senate House, University of London. Organised and run by cluster leads Dr Jane Marriott and Karl Mason, the conference brought together speakers from a range of disciplines and included presentations on completed studies, work in progress and emerging ideas. The conference was delighted to welcome the Department of Law and Criminology’s Emeritus Professor of Sociology, Jon Gabe, as its keynote speaker.
