Dr Alexander Gilder teaches Peace, Conflict and Human Rights in Somaliland

Over two weeks Dr Gilder will teach an MA course on Peace, Conflict and Human Rights at the Institute for Peace and Conflict Studies, University of Hargeisa in Somaliland.

The 10-day course explores the increasingly relevant intersection of international human rights and conflict. Dr Gilder will be focusing on international human rights sources and systems, the African Court of Human and Peoples' Rights, the Women, Peace and Security Agenda, human rights in UN peacekeeping and much more.

Dr Gilder is especially looking forward to engaging with the students in Somaliland who will be able to offer unique reflections on human rights and conflict in both an emerging state and the Horn of Africa.
