The School of Law and Social Science has recently announced the winners of the inaugural awards for excellence in teaching and student support.
The School of Law and Social Sciences has announced its inaugural awards for excellence in teaching and student support. The aim of the awards is to celebrate the amazing people contributing to education and student experience in the School and to recognise all the incredible work that has been done to enhance learning during this disrupted year.
The awards have been voted for by student representatives from each department. The awards recognise the contribution of an individual over time, which has led to a sustained positive impact on the learning and teaching community within LSS or on overall student experience within LSS.
It is a matter of extreme pride to see that the members of the staff from the Department of Law and Criminology and the Department of Social Work feature prominently among those, who have been awarded this year. In particular, the following members of staff were given awards for excellence in teaching and student support:
-
Dr. Pinar Canga;
-
Prof. Anna Gupta;
-
Prof. Nick Hardwick;
-
Dr. Amanda Matravers;
-
Dr. Foivi Mouzakiti;
-
Dr. Louise O’Connor;
-
Dr. Tim Sinnamon;
-
Dr. Charlotte Wick.
It is intended that these awards will provide a further way to celebrate all the great work we do, in addition to all the other awards and prizes offered by departments, the College and the Student Union.
