Professor Rosie Meek was invited to 10 Downing Street on 2 May 2019, as part of a delegation which included Lawrence Dallaglio, the ex-England rugby captain and Dame Tanni Grey-Thompson, the former Paralympic champion.
Professor Meek presented findings from her research into sport and physical activity as a positive way of engaging with people in the Criminal Justice System, in particular her 2014 book 'Sport in Prison', and the review of she undertook on behalf of the Ministry of Justice last year (https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/a-sporting-chance-an-independent-review-of-sport-in-justice)
