Encapsulation: New album from Chris Whiter

  • Date16 January 2018

Teaching Fellow, Dr Chris Whiter, has launched his latest album Encapsulation - featuring a trio of tenor saxophone, baritone saxophone and piano with live electronics, recorded in the Department of Music’s main lecture space in 2017.

The final work of his PhD portfolio, this live album encapsulates the raw essence of musical freedom. With little discussion and no structures to define the outcome, the trio combined their freely improvised material with Whiter's live electronics to produce a serene and expansive atmospheric sound world.
