Sport

We're one of the top sporting University of London institutions with more than 80 sports teams and fantastic facilities. You can play sport competitively against other universities, keep fit in the gym, or just enjoy casual activities with weekly drop-in sessions.

High-quality facilities

Our campus-based facilities have world-class outdoor pitches including a third generation rugby/football pitch approved by FIFA, grass pitches, tennis and netball courts, and an astro pitch.

The Sports Centre has a multi-use sports hall and a 60-station fitness suite complete with cardio, weights, resistance machines and a jam-packed class schedule. Whether you prefer yoga or spin, there’s plenty to keep you moving. Membership of our Sports Centre is also open to the local community and businesses.

Play competitively

Whether you consider yourself a pro or want to try something new, there are teams and clubs to cater for your needs. More than 1,300 of our students belong to one of our 80 sports teams, competing in BUCS and LUSL competitions.

There are also Campus Sports Leagues in popular sports for playing against fellow students.

"I didn’t get to play much basketball in school so I was really looking forward to joining when I came here. I love it. It’s a real team sport. We’ve got people who’ve played a lot and those who’ve never played before, which is perfect for the team dynamic."

Charlie, Basketball Club President

Join a sports club
