Location: Royal Holloway is conveniently located close to the motorway network (M4 and M3) and is just one mile from junction 13 of the M25. There are also good public transport links.
Meeting point: Founder's Vistors' Centre/Reception (entrance is accessed through Founder's Square), as marked on the map towards the bottom of this page.
Parts of the tour will be outside so please do wear/bring appropriate clothing.

Travelling by car
Whether that be your own car, a borrowed car or a hire car
Parking: We are unable to reserve specific parking spaces however can provide details of recommended parking spots. Please provide your vehicle registration details (as specified below) so we can log them on our system. Failing to do so will likely result in a parking fine.

Preferred Car Park: Car Park 12 - Enter via the main entrance on Egham Hill. Drive forward slightly towards the Founders building (large orange building), but take the first right shortly after the entrance. Drive past the bus stop and you will see Car Park 12. If there is no available space follow the one way system. Turn right onto Bakeham lane and right onto A30. You can then re-enter via the main gate.
Alternative Car Parks: If you are unable to park in Car Park 12 then we recommend Car Park 4 and Car Park 14 as the next best options.

Travelling by taxi/Uber
If you are being dropped off by taxi/Uber, the driver can enter the campus through the main gate, continue to the roundabout where they should take the first exit (left). After driving past the Founder's Building, there will be Founder's Square on the right and a small area to pull into opposite it, on the left hand side. You can be dropped here and the driver will be able to turn round in that space to go back towards the exit.
Travelling by bus
There are a number of local buses that serve the campus including routes 8, 8A, 441, 441A, 500, RH2, and RH3. These buses depart from Bagshot, Camberley, Englefield Green, Frimley Park, Heathrow, Sandhurst, Slough, and Staines.
There is a pedestrian entrance at the main gate and also two more pedestrian entrances slightly further down the hill (A30).
We would recommend planning your route thoroughly prior to departure.

Travelling by train
Egham is our closest station and there are frequent trains from Reading, Weybridge, and London Waterloo.
Please be aware that Royal Holloway’s Egham campus is outside of the London TFL oyster card zone. You will need to purchase a ticket at the machines or online.
Directions from the station: The easiest route to campus is to turn right out of the station. Walk straight down Station Road, turn left onto Church Road becoming High St. At the large roundabout turn left onto Egham Hill walking past the BP petrol station. Follow the road up Egham Hill and the entrance to the University is on the left. The walk is approximately 20-30 minutes. Slightly faster routes are available via residential streets.
