Before you arrive

If you are not a UK or Irish national then it's likely that you will need a visa to study your course at Royal Holloway.

Many UK visas provide the holder with a Right to Study in the UK.

Most of our students from overseas enter the UK on a Student visa and you can find detailed information about how to apply for that visa by visiting our guide below.

If you hold a different form of immigration permission or you are planning on applying for something other than a Student visa to come to the UK then we recommend that you contact us to check that you will be able to enrol on your course with Royal Holloway using that visa.
