Skills for choice and opportunity

Royal Holloway is committed to boosting students’ employability and improving graduate outcomes. We do this through helping our students to develop skills for choice and opportunity.

Our approach is to offer a range of opportunities for our students to build the 12 key skills we know are required by employers, helping them to identify what skills they’ve gained, and to support them to articulate, on an employability profile or CV, how they meet what employers are looking for.

The opportunity to gain these skills runs through everything our students do, both on their courses and the activities they do outside the classroom.

We encourage students to actively think about building skills from their first year at Royal Holloway and support them to develop an edge in the graduate market, as well as equipping them with choice and opportunity throughout their lives.
